    Default P4 E-mail

    Greetings

I'm trying to configure P4 for e-mail notifications.
Since I have my e-mail server, I would like to use this.

But looking at my e-mail server logs, it seems as though a server from aquariumcomputer.com is trying to send the e-mail.
It does not succeed, resulting in this error :

[05/Jan/2018 00:21:23] Failed SMTP login from aquariumcomputer.com with SASL method CRAM-MD5.

Question : Is it not possible to send e-mails direct to an e-mailserver of your own choosing, without proxy'ing through you?
Question : What does it take to use ones own e-mail server?

    Best Regards
    Brian

    Hello Brian,

unfortunately the direct SSL connection is not supported by ProfiLux 4
The proxy method uses a leightweight and efficient encryption method, in order to send it through the GHL server.

    Hello,
Wanted to know if there is something diffrent between Profilx 3 and 4 in this domain. I succeeded to configure my emeil direct sending by using my own Internet access provider mail.

By this way, I'm not using SSL encryption and it's ok for sending mail for me on P3.
A friend of mine has the P4 and I will help him to configure but wanted to check that this will works.
    Thanks
    Houman

    Hello Brian

I have my profilux 4 mail notification up & running using my router's IP as IP mailserver (SMTP)
Maybe this can be used in your configuration ?

    Edit:
It only works for me if I use the P4 WIFI in DHCP mode

    Alle the best, Brock
