Default Calibrating Conductivity probe for freshwater

I had to select Saltwater then calibrate using the 50mS calibration soultion then change probe setting to (F)reshwater. Is this correct ? If I tried to calibrate it using the 50mS solution with the probe already set to freshwater then the GHL logo flashed red and the display indicated there was an error. Or is there a freshwater calibration solution which would be more suitable ?

50mS calibration fluid is for reading saltwater ranges

1.41mS calibration fluid is for reading freshwater ranges

In order to use the probe for freshwater purposes, you would first have to switch the probe settings to Freshwater then calibrate with the 1.41mS fluid.
