Work on lpc without being connected to Mitras

Is it possible to open up LPC files from the computer and work on LPC files with out being connected to my Mitras? I was just trying to open a couple and not having any luck. If it is currently not possible is that something that could be added. I would much prefer to sit done at my desk away from my tank and work on my LPC files and then bring them over to the tank and test/install.
