Conduct probe change?

Hello,

I recently bought a used Profilux 3.1T eX.
With this device, i have this Conduct probe.


On another forum I learned that I have to use the plantinum version of this probe for a saltwatertank.

That's why I tried to find the difference between these 2 probes, but could not find any useful information.
What I noticed was, that most webshops (even GHL) have replaced the older probe with the platinum probe.

What is the difference between these 2 probes and what are the negative side effects of the older probe, when its being used in a saltwatertank?
(Calibration problems, shorter life ect.)

The probe shown above is good to use for both FW and SW applications. As long as you successfully calibrate this probe and it holds stable readings, you can continue using this probe. Otherwise, you can use a brand new Conductivity probe.
