Default Question re depth of Mitras

Hey guys. Thinking about setting up a 48" tall tank as a mixed reef.
Wondering if any number of Mitras will reach effectively?

Depending on what you plan to keep 48" down, it is possible to keep soft corals. If you have more Mitras spaced closer to eachother and running on High Output, the overlapping light will be stronger for LPS.

    Possible?
How about how many lights for a 82" long tank?

It depends on the location of the live stock and how much light they need.
The deeper the corals are placed the more light power we need, but I think this is obvious.

Due to the special construction of the reflectors the Mitras is able to bring light deep into a tank while it has a wide spread at the same time, so the Mitras is a good choice for this project.

But it is impossible for us to say in advance exactly how many lights are needed. I can think of any number between 3 and 5. But I am sure you will use them at 100% in full-power mode.

A reasonable way is to start with the smaller amount (3, or 4 if you already know that your corals need much light and they located are on the bottom).
If you find out that the growth is not as expected you can add another Mitras later.
