Multi computer?

I know this question has been answered on here before but I dont exactly know what word I would use to search for it so here it goes again:

My home computer that I originally had the profilux program on crashed ( my 2 year old sun decided to slam all the buttons at once) so while I was getting it repaired I downloaded the new firmware on a new computer. Now the old computer is repaired and I want to use it again. Whats the right way to do this?
