I don't think windows is the issue anymore. I think there is a problem with FW 6.19 and GCC 1075.
I knocked down to FW 6.14 and was able to connect via LAN immediately, with no issues since.

I've always been able to connect through USB. The problem was with LAN. I've got CAT5e almost everywhere in the house, so easy to have my lap top hooked up and check or adjust the programming. I don't mind having to use the USB to do updates, but I'd have to hook up at the aquarium to check or change. At any rate, FW6.14 seems to be my best bet right now until MyGHL gets out of beta. Then maybe I'll try to get mobile.
