email noti pc i have port 587 and when i test it. it will send

under

email noti profilux i have tried ports 25 465 587 and nothing works and the current smtp server ip stays 0.0.0.0

Did you restarted the ProfiLux after you changed the settings?
Unplug the power cable for few seconds and plug in again.
After any changes in the email settings you have to restart the ProfiLux.

is the domain mailserver

smtp.gmx.com or

mail.gmx.com


before i used the smtp.gmx.com but on the link you sent me i see that the outgoing says mail.gmx.com..

Please try mail.gmx.com with port 587 because it is the official information from gmx itself.

The ProfiLux tries to send an email.

Did you checked

• Wrong password
• Password with special characters
• Password length more than 16 characters (max. 16 characters)
• E-mail address length more than 32 characters (max. 32 characters)

so after some back and forth PM with artur i finally got it to work...

so a little background on how my stuff is connected

i have comcast xfinity with netgear n600 c3700 cable router/modem

along with a dlink dap1522 wireless router attached to the profilux

in Control Center

email notification (profilux)
domain mailserver: smtp.gmx.com
Port 465
make sure mailserver require authentication and encrypted via ghl are both CHECKED

email notification (PC)
mailserver: smtp.gmx.com
port 587
mailserver authentication CHECKED

on the profilux itself...
make sure your settings are the same as what is on your router.

i had to change my DNS server and my subnet mask

once i changed those settings.

VOILA!
