if the SPS and LPS are spread all over the tank bottom you need 2

if the corals which need much light are concentrated in the center and you have only a few corals which don't need much light in the corners than 1 would be fine, I think this lamp has to run then at 100% in high output mode

-> if you want to save money and need only in the center much light take one

-> if your focus is on an evenly spread and homogenous light I would recommend 2, this had also the advantage that you can operate them very likely in high efficiency mode at a lower percentage, and you have reserves in the case it turns out you need more light
