The simu-L would be so close to the halide though....don't think it would last long. That and it would mean drilling the unit to mount it.
I went for 1-10v for a few reasons, the ballasts are...
I have thought about it and I have a simu-L sat waiting for me to for me to do it. However I don't want it too close to the halide as the 250w get insanely hot. What I intend to do is strip it out of...
You won't need to EVG for dimming DALI balasts just 1-10v balasts.
No they can be dimmed seperately. As the switching and dimming is done by the EVG, the single power cord goes to that and then that powers the balasts seperately depending on the control signals from...
For those who get the emails when they push test but not when a real alarm happens try unplugging the P3, waiting a few seconds then plugging it back in. A full reboot solved the problem for me late...
Hi Matthias
I definately get emails when I hit test so the email settings must be fine or it wouldn't be able to send me those emails surely?
A little more info again. I just set one to send at a set time and that didn't send either. I'm just about to remove them all and build one with no tokens and see if that works first.
Edit: Nope...
Emails send perfectly when I click test so SMTP server settings must be fine.
I've just set up 2 emails exactly as you described. The email content is:
Your GHL Profilux has activated an...
To add some extra info, I also created a conductivity alarm and that didn't work either. And I've tried it completely disconnected from the GHL and even pulling the network cable.
The main problem I have is that when I click test I get the email and its resolving all the tokens correctly etc, perfect. When I trigger a level alarm manually it doesn't send me an email.
The...
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my profilux II lightbar but have been having trouble so wanted to try using the flasher to do it instead. I've opened the unit up to find the pins to jumper and...
Thanks Matthias, worked perfectly!
I've recently obtained a conductivity and redox expansion card from a fellow reefer and its missing the null plug for the redox calibration. I can get a coax plug and make one easy enough but am I...
The sinus wave setting means the Profilux will smoothly change the speed from your minimum setting to your maximum setting and back. A square wave makes the change instant jumping from the minimum to...
why don't you allocate the profilux a static IP. Then it'll always be at the same IP address.
Thats the voltage range Tunze's own controllers work on. Higher and lower voltages won't dammage the pump but they won't be varying the speed propperly.
Matthias, you need to translate the heading for the second set of bullet points. Its still in German.
Nice work! :)
I'm on the hunt for a ballast thats dimmable by the GHL but as of yet I've been unable to find one!
Sounds like you have a plan! :D Make sure you take some pics I'd be interested to see the outcome.
What make and model of ballast do you have?
Hi, glad its of some use!
The EVG is actually floating and isn't touching any of the metal of the case at all. If I had screwn it to the case I would have had to insulate the bottom of it some how...
Thanks Matthias. Can you confirm this version will be available for the PII as well. I intend to run this light on my seahorse tank and control it with the existing PII Light Bar.
Anyone...
My next lighting related venture will be a custom LED light for my seahorse/seagrass tank. The plan is for it to be fully controllable by the GHL light bar I have on the tank.
I've been looking...
Just looked at the datasheet for them and they only accept 220-240v so they won't work in the US I'm afraid.
I know there have been a few people struggling before with getting hold of any dimmable...
Nope just download and install the new firmware. I've done exactly this recently with no problems.
Be aware you will need to do the firmware update with the current profilux control PC software...
