I did that and seems that heater is always on and temp never changes. I may disconnect from GHL and try it without control to see if it's heater. Are all heaters compatible though?

I have a Fluval E Heater and trying to control it through GHL. It seems not able to control the heater. I have GHL set at 78 degrees Fahrenheit and GHL temp probe reading 76.7; Heater reading 76.5.
