SMS module do not start up

One of our SMS modules at Sjöfartsmuseet in Gothenburg acts in a strange way. By mistake – the power supply was disconnected. The unit run out of battery. The power supply was reconnected but only the supply LED (green) on the front side light up. Not the others like GSM, power, Status, PAP-com and PAP-Status – they still are black. I try to have the power supply connected for one week but it did not change the way the module acts. I have also disconnected the battery for 2 minutes and then try to start the unit again – the same result – only the supply LED is light up. Have also tried with another power source – the same result. The same thing has happen before with the unit but that time it starts work again after the power supply had been connected for one day (24 hour). The module is less than one year old. Battery breakdown?

Replace battery first. In my experience some batteries only last 24-36 mo

We also suppose that the battery must be replaced.
