P4 - problem with multiple level sensors using Y splitter PL-LY

Vinny / Matthias - attached are three images of my Level Settings, as requested. They are:

- 2 float sensors, triggered, connected directly to Purple and Green Ports (both sensors are recognised by the P4 correctly)

- the same 2 float sensors connected via PL-LY splitter to Purple Port (only 1 sensor being recognised, as sensor 1)

- the same 2 float sensors connected via PL-LY splitter to Gren Port (only 1 sensor being recognised, as sensor 3)


As previously mentioned, I get the same error no matter whether I use float sensors, optical sensors or the leak detect module.

Hi Vinny / Matthias. Have you been able to replicate the problem we are experiencing with the P4 level sensors? Do you have any idea how soon it can be fixed?

Hello Stephen,

could you please tell me the version of gcc and the firmware you use on profilux 4.

As per my original post Marc, the P4 arrived with firmware version 7.07 and I encountered the problem with the level sensors with this version. I then updated to 7.08 but the problem still occurs.

I am using GCC 1.1.0.0.

We've tested hardware and software without any problems. The users are in 2nd-level-support.

For the benefit of anyone else following this thread (or reading it in the future), GHL think the problem may be their PL-LY splitter cables so they are sending replacement cables by snail mail.

I will update here when the replacement cables eventually arrive to let others know if this fixes the problem.

The replacement PL-LY cables have arrived and plugging them in immediately resolved the problem.
