Just hooked up the sms unit.
connects to gsm network and all seems okay. On sending sms alert message, the link between profilux and sms module disconnects and does not reconnect. Furthermore, the sms module does not even appear in the pc menu after it disconnects. Status light flashes 5 times.
Internal clock on the sms unit impossible to alter.
Could it be a firmware issue?
Any ideas?

Older SMS-module firmware versions had sometimes problems with some GSM networks.
This is fixed in the newest version.
Please send us an email (no PM), you will get the newest version in return.

Are you referring to the profilux computer firmware updates on your website?? I have version 4.02. Should I update this to 4.05 or are you referring to a different firmware specific for the sms unit?

the SMS module has version 1.03 at the moment

I have version 1.02 with version 4.07 of the Profilux Pro Ex should I update to version 1.03 of the SMS module

the firmware version of the SMS unit is not depending on the ProfiLux firmware version
if your SMS unit works then there is no reason for updating
I have tried the filmware update and it still wont send sms. The clock is now ok and can be changed'.
I'm at a loss at what to do .
this is not enough information to give you help
- is the SMS unit logging in (what is the status LED indicating, what state is displayed in ProfiLuxControl)?
- entered the correct numbers for servicecenter and recipient (correct international format)?
SMS does log in
Status of LED - red - flashes every one second
green - on green - on orange - on
Status ready
When I dial from my mobile phone to the SMS unit the red light stays on but I get a message that there the number dialled is not answering. The correct numbers are entered ie. +61followed by mobile no. I will email you a screen dump.
I am currently using Profilux RS232 cable from PC to SMS module and from SMS module to Profilux cable which is supplied with SMS module. I also tried to log in via wireless LAN card. If you need to connect to my Profilux let me know via email.

Thank you very much for your assistance. Althought it was a brand new SIM card, it was a faulty one. It is now working perfectly.

how do you reduce the maximin tests set per day? is 10 the minimum??
I don't understand this question
The sms unit allows you to set the amount of texts send per day.
I can't adjust it below 10.
Everytime i load 5 it keeps defaults back to 10.
