265 Gallon Profilux Rig (with 120 Gallon Fuge)

This is our 265 Gallon aquarium in our living Room, 100% Profilux controlled.

I just finished building a DIY Dimmable T5 and LED rig, also completely controlled by the Profilux using 3 x EVG-AP-2F boards and several dimmable ballasts and drivers. Each EVG board controls from 4-6 Ballasts or Drivers.

I just finished building my PWM controlled Lightning rig last night and it worked out pretty well!

All this equipment isn't only for one tank, or is it?

most of it runs the 265 gallon (1000+ litre) aquarium, but the 80 gallon in the bedroom uses these parts:

2 x Ecotech MP10s
2 x Korallia 4's w/pumpcontrol1
4 Outlet power bar


Everything else is used to automate the 265 gallon. All I have to do is clean my glass and feed my fish. The profilux handles top offs (with either fresh water or Kalk), nutrient dosing (Strontium, Kh, and controls my chilled dosing chamber full of organics+trace), Calcium reactor (CO2 injection rate, circ pump, and feed solenoid), lighting (lots of lights.lol), skimmer (turns it off on a general alarm), return pumps, heaters, fans, wavemaking, and soon, automatic water changes.

I rely heavily on my profilux equipment, I havent found any other product that lets me do this. My profilux lets me bridge an excellent controller with my own DIY setup. Makes for a great combo!

Here is summary of all of my Sockets so you can get a better idea of how this setup works, it does look like a lot of equipment, but you'll see why when its all laid out:

The Vortech pumps are linked to Pump Channels 1 + 2 as Follows:

In this configuration the "High Volume" Pumps alternate flow back and forth, while the other pumps operate in a surge fashion. This creates some pretty intense flow patterns for brief periods. This allows the LPS corals to not get damaged from flow, while the SPS ccorals get the higher flow they need in bursts.
