The PH in my calcium reactor is normally rock steady, between 6.80 and 6.82. If it varies above that, something is wrong, and I'd like to be notified by an alarm. But GHL Connect isn't letting me set the alarm deviation below 0.5. Is there something I can do to make this work?

Changes will be made to pH management soon, it will very soon be possible to set the maximum alarm deviation value to 0.1pH instead of 0.5pH

And I found a bug, I was going to post about it somewhere else, but I'll tell you here.
There is a 16 character limit for sensor names. But if you use all 16 characters, that messes up alarm notifications. Alarm emails can only handle up to 15 characters in a sensor name. This is easily reproduced. I can give you more details if you don't know what I'm talking about. Is this a known issue?

Notice how any label that is 16 characters gets concatenated with the label following it. Like with "Sump cooling fan", "TurfScrubberLigh", "Skimmer neck cln", ...
And it sure would be nice if you got rid of the 16 character limit! It forces people to abbreviate the names of things. I suspect your code is "C" code, with fixed array lengths... This would be a pretty easy thing to fix.

I just wanted to ask if you guys knew about the bug. I can live with it for now.
Meanwhile, I'm working on something else today. I installed a PLM-ADIN card into an expansion box. Now if I connect a digital input to ground, it changes the status on the input to "Active". But if I disconnect it, it stays "Active". I think I'm missing something. What do I need to do to deactivate the input? I want to connect it to a momentary button, to use to initiate a feed pause.

I'm testing it by connecting the digital input pin directly to the GND pin on pin 8, with alligator clips. That's fine, right? If I refresh the screen, the pins stay active. I tried it with both digital input 1 and 2. Before I connect them, they show as "Inactive" in GHL connect. After connecting them, they show as "Active", even after I disconnect them. And even after I refresh the screen. If you agree I'm not doing anything wrong, I'll open a ticket.

The PLM-ADIN card is in an expansion box. If I reboot the expansion box, the digital inputs remain active. But if I reboot the Profilux, they do reset to inactive. But, if I then connect one of the inputs to ground, it goes active again and doesn't go inactive when I disconnect the input from ground.
So the problem clears if I reboot the profilux, but I still have the same issue if I try again.
Gael - I put in a ticket on this on Monday, along with another issue I'm having with leak sensor alarms. Do you have an idea when I can expect a response?

This is still planned but unfortunately I don't have a date/ETA to share with you regarding the new GCC/firmware version.

Bis dahin kannst du dir 2 Kopien des Sensors erstellen, diese im Sollwert leicht oberhalb und unterhalb einstellen.
Dann solltest du mit der Alaarmschwelle von 0,5 und diesen beiden Sensoren dein Ziel erreichen.
Gael - I see that the latest GHL Connect release has a fix - "Fixed Sensor-Calibration-Wizard to allow steps of 0.01 for pH calibration values". This seems related to the problem we're talking about here - that you can't set PH alarm deviation for less than 1.0. Is that fix any closer to coming out?Quote:

Mit 2 zusätzliche virtuellen ph Sensoren laesst sich das Problem lösen.
Sensoren anlegen, Sollwert um 0,3 oberhalb und unterhalb setzen. Hier die Alarme auf eine schnelle von 0,5 setzen und du hast, was du brauchst.
