GHL Profilux PIIII (P4) Controller

Hi team,

I have had GHL products for many years, and due to needing a new plug bar and a couple of probes I was thinking about buying a whole new starter set in order to benefit from a new controller as well as the other items I needed.

However, I then had a thought that given that the PIII has been out for a number of years now, and that the doser and the expansion box have changed to a new shape and style, it must only be a matter of time before the PIIII / P4 controller is launched?!

While I know you won't disclose product development secrets here, can you advise if there will be an upgrade route for PIII users to PIIII whenever one is released? Or should I hold onto my money for a little while and await the PIIII launch?? :)

If there would come a P4 it would have a different hardware base so an upgrade from 3 to 4 would not be possible
of course peripheral devices would still be compatible

Apex and vertex launching new controllers...and news for us Matthias?? :)

Apex... did you see their new product.. i think a VCR is smaller. And I never understood a controller that doesn't do ATO

I agree :) The new Apex looks like a Fisher Price ;)

However the Vertex and Tunze look very nice and compact.

I'm looking forward to GHL's response :cool:

we are very aware what is going on in the controller market and we watch this closely

but so far I didn't see anything whcih convinced me

I can't give too many details at the moment, but we have also some news

we start this Friday with the introduction of our new "small" devices ...

The baby GHL looks cute!! However the pricing seems to be mixed up, it gives the mini with a price of EUR 118 and EUR 185. I assume one should be the light version :

Im a bit surprises ghl anouching the PL 4 at mecna?

As many have asked several times if theres a PL4 forthcoming as most customers don't wanna buy a model (pl3) that is gone be replaced!

Anyhow can we know whats the difference besides price and looks and when is the offical launge ?

I think that many companies announce new products at the trade shows - but it would have been nice for them to put the information up here at the same time at least for their loyal existing customers.

The P4 looks pretty nice though, but I need to find an article that tells me what it does better than a P3.

I saw it at MACNA and Matthias gave me some information about it. I was very impressed with the new controller. It has it's own Wifi for online and Wifi for the lights. The controller looks awesome and I will be upgrading as soon it comes out!!

Cool its coming. But info at the same time would be nice. The Lightbar 2 was allso launched very quiet.

When will GHL be officially announcing the new P4 and the new mitras?

we are still working on our website to add the new products, we want to finish this in the next 8 days, after that the official announcements will be made

yes you are right, and I feel terribly sorry, I planned to announce prices and details last weekend but I just couldn't manage it -too stressfull to get the production of the Mitras LX 7 and the ProfiLux 4 up and running - not to mention writing all the firmware!

but it will happen in the next days - for sure
