Excellent just what I'm after. Will it be controllable using a proflux 2 plus?

Matthias can you reply to these? I've had 2 different people ask similar questions and need to know what to tell them. Thank you in advance.Quote:
is it possible to order the LED’s with the narrow beam reflector at this point. And if so, is there an additional charge? How hard are these to change out by the end-user?
If someone wants the "Standard" unit would this be w/HyperViolet LEDs? I assume this is the standard unit and w/o is an option.
we don't want to make it too complicated for the retailer (many variants, large stock), there are already these options:
- 3 colors
- with or without hyper violet
- different plugs: "Schuko", UK, USA/CAN, France, Australia
these are 30 different models already
if we would offer all models now with 2 different reflectors we had 60 different lamps in our catalogue
so to make it short:
we learned that most people will be fine with the standard reflector
so I think it is reasonable to have the "standard reflector" as a standard
we must consider that someone also wants to mix the reflector types
and it is not hard to change the reflectors at all, just open a few screws
Matthias,
Are you able to advise if I will be able to control the new LED light-bar that s coming out from my profilux 2 plus or will I need to upgrade to a profilux 3? Will it just connect using the 1-10V connector that my existing T5 GHL light bars use?
Thanks
Liam
No, but the Mitras devices have an own, independent controller build in.Quote:

Unfortunately upgrade kit is not available anymore.Quote:

No, external control is connected via PAB or wireless connection (additional device neccessary)Quote:

he is talking about the LED-bar, not the Mitras
the light bar will be controllable over PAB (only for P3 available) as well as over a standard 1-10V-interface
so the answer is yes, you can use your PII
Matthias,
Thanks for confirming.
The next question is at the moment I have two 54W T5 light bars connected via a splitter to my PII and two Tunze Streams via a splillter to my 2nd 1-10V interface. My tank is 5*2*2 feet currently running 4 T5 tubes. Do you know how many LED light bars I would want to keep LPS and SPS as I have been told I should really be running 6 T5s but don't want to do anything until these LEDs are out? (I.E. do I need to get an expansion card).
Also would there be any features I would loose out by controlling over 1-10V rather than PAB?
Thanks
it is too early to answer these detail questions
if you have a few weeks than let us continue this discussion when we have all the facts and measurement results
any more info like what color LEDs are in the Mitras, specific wavelengths for each color.
any news on the rail system and its release date
we try to give as much features as possible when using the 1-10V interface
since PAB is digital I guess there will be a few extra features
Matthias,
the do not use in closed tank lits , thing.
I have a 'closed' lit , but its 45 cm high, so I could easily put the light 40 cm away from the water surface . So there is plenty of space would this still be a problem ???

the rail system will come in October, some time after launching the Mitras
unfortunately we can't make it earlier
other information - see below
We optimized our Mitras again!
important changes:
- 9 instead of 8 separately dimmable channels! We added neutral white LEDs.
- 6 hyperviolet LEDs instead of 2! Furthermore adjusted the wavelength a little (now 425 nm).
Now one Mitras has up to 72 High-Power-LEDs!
With these changes the light was improved again in regards to power, efficiency, color impression and homogenity.
Furthermore we added order numbers for all lamp types and accessories (like narrow beam reflectors) and some technical details.

And the best part is: Price stays the same!
This is great news, thanks Matthias.
Do you have any info coming on wireless networking capabilities or will this follow on later? Regular question we get every day.
Matthias I have a couple of questions about the new items listed on the Matis page.
A) How difficult are the PL-0925 to install on the unit at a later time?
B) What is the purpose of the PL-0924? Would this be if a client ordered non-HV and decided later to add it to their fixture?
Thank you in advance,
Allen
Thanks for the response!
Better late than never

Any further news on the LED light bar, as I have heard it maybe out in September and a discount can be had if pre-ordered before the end of July.
Thanks
Liam
It´s still in developmentQuote:

You are wrong. That´s an offer for the new Mitras Pendant Lamps.Quote:

The light bars are not announced yet nor is there any information about availability or price.
very simple, anyone can do thisQuote:

are those cree XT-E 5W LEDS? been doing some reading and if so wow this thing should be very bright!
any words on software?
With the product still evolving I think (not confirmed) the software will release shortly prior to lamp release, I also guess it will be part of PLC.
Well , i am sure everyone would like to see some options and screen shots:)
Mathias, im having 3 of these units for my 5' tank, are they individually powered or can they be piggy backed to save having 3 power cables going over my tank
Gazz
they are individually powered
How far apart are the mounting points for the hanging cables?
I think October, I hope we can provide details significantly before Oct
we have mcu to do for the initial batch of the Mitras in September
So are these delayed to October now?
I need the measurements so i can get new railing done to mount these when they arrive.
sorry, I missread your post, I thought you were talking about a rail system
the mechanical dimensions are clear, of course
Attachment 2906
Yes that is what i meant thank you.
Ok so if i'm reading this correct they are 170mm apart?
any news on the software :) its been quiet on that front
here a preview of the new GHL Control Center:

Thanks for the update. Is the software done now so it's ready for release with the lightd
yes, the new GHL Control Center is ready to be used for the Mitras now
and prepared to be used with ProfiLux soon
download will come about Wednesday
