Any other ideas?
I have just reinstalled Windows on Bootcamp. If you have troubles with driver installation, open device manager and reinstall driver:
1. select the device with right mouse button and press uninstal
2. select also uninstall device drivers.
3. search for new hardware.
4. after the device is found, install drivers Manually from custom directory: C:\Program Files\GHLControlCenter_VXXXX\Driver (32 bit) and C:\Program Files(x86)\GHLControlCenter_VXXXX\Driver (64 bit)
I have tested it for 5 minutes with fresh Windows.
I am sorry but after attempting to do this I appear to have the same driver type on my computer; would you consider controlling my PC remotely?
we are talking about the newest version of GHL Control Center, right? the difference is that the driver which comes along with it is certified
Sorry Mathias. What does "certified" means?
No funktional change. Win 8 requires drivers with certificate, so we added it.
I have updated the driver, although I don't know what you mean by certified it was the latest copy of the download available (GHL control center was downloaded from this website).
So I guess that no mention of the two times that I suggested computer remote control means no?
Without sounding negative is there a more efficient/effective way of dealing with this issue? I work long hours so I only get post now and then and because of the time difference I don't really get to see the forum everyday. Any other ideas would be great - I would really like to start to program my lights.
Would validating my copy of windows resolve the issue?
Cheers,
Rob
Can you post your connection settings in GHLControlCenter?
Try to use com port number instead of AUTO-setting.
