Hi
I have neglected to clean my conductivity probe on a regular basis and now it keeps reading low. It does have some white deposit at its end ? calcium.I have read about rinsing it on a weekly basis but i would like to give it a really good clean now and after I will try to keep to a weekly rinse clean.
Can I soak it in vinegar?

I clean and calibrate my conductivity probe every 60 day's.
It is as stable as a rock, the difference before and after calibration is just about nothing.
I have a probe from GHL, I don't know is other brands are as reliable?
Cleaning it every week?, not for me. I have been doing this routine for 2,5 years now.

I just use peace off paper kitchen-towel en water, and gently wipe it clean.
But for you this will not work at this time because you have now some hard white deposit on your sensor. For this you could use some cleaning vinegar. But perhaps a real cleaning solution from the store is more safe to use. But always be careful, a probe is a delicate device.
