I think I can field this one :-)

The LEDControl-1 is a 1-10v device, so you need to connect it to one of your available 1-10V ports. For this instruction, we'll assume you are using L1L2 (although you could use any port).

First off, you need to created your illumination schedule. This is most easily achieved using the Profilux Control software.

First off, start by selecting an unused Illumination Channel (for this example we'll use Illumination 1, but it could be any that are free).

- Using the software expand the Illumination section and click on "Illumination 1"

Create your dimming curve:
- Make your starting point the lowest setting you want your Moonlights to be, and when you want your lights to start brightening, lets say, 10am.
- Time: 10:00:00am Brightness: 2%
- Next, create a point when you want your lights to be at their brightest, maybe an hour later?
- Time: 11:00:00am Brightness: 100%
- next create a point where you want your lights to start to Dim down, but still at their brightest setting, maybe 10 hours later?
- Time: 9:00:00pm Brightness: 100%
- and lastly create a point that marks the low end of your light cycle. Like your first point, this will be an hour later
- Time 10:00:00pm, Brightness: 2%

You have now created your daylight and moonlight schedule. Now we need to set up your simulation options and other fun extra's.

Simulation Options for the illumination Channel
- Rainy Days: Use this option if you would to program days where the light can operate at a reduced brightness. If you want the light to run the same way every day, leave this option unchecked.

- Clouds: If you would like your profilux to simulate cloud cover (by randomly dimming the LED's) check this option. If you do not want to use it, leave it unchecked.

- Thunderstorm: If you use the thunderstorm feature and would like the LED's to lower their intensity during a storm event, check this.

- Moon Phase: Check this option if you want the Profilux to reproduce a realistic moon simulation. This works by changing the intensity of the LED's during your defined "moon phase" time. this will change the intensity of the LED's to simulate a full moon, waning or waxing moon, or new moon throughout a 28 day period.

Now you have defined your Simulation options, we need to configure them, so your profilux will run the simulations as you want.

Configuring Simulation Options
- Click on the "Simulation" option in the Illumination Section of the software (Simulation is located under the Illumination Channels on the right)
- Clouds: Here you will see how clouds will react. You can set your darkening, Probability, and how long you want the clouds to last.
- Current Moon Phase: If you want to have your light perform the lunar simulation you need to set the time in which it will do this. For the configuration I detailed above you will want to run the simulation from 10:00:00pm till 10:00:00am. Using this time window it will not interfere with your daylight schedule, and will simply use the night time.
- Rainy Days: This option lets you set what days you want your dimmable lights to run at a reduced brightness. This is primarly used for lighting that is dimmable. You can set what days you want it to be darker, and how much you want to darken your lights.

Once you have set everything up, save your configuration.

Now that your Illumination options are configured, we have to tell the L port that the LED Control-1 is connected to, to use these options.

L Port Configuration
- In the Profilux software, expand the "System" option and click on 1-10V interfaces.
- Locate the L port your LEDControl-1 is connected to (in this example we used L1L2 but it could be whatever port you chose to connect it to).
- Double click on the port to open its options
- For the Function, select "Illumination" then select the number of the illumination channel that you defined earlier (in this example we used Illumination 1)
- Click on "ok" to finish
- Click on "save"

That should be it!
