plm-4L & expansion box??

Hello everyone,
I recently purchase 3 new plm-4L cards and want to add them to my expansion box. Currently the expansion box only has one L card in it. So my question is, is there any specific slots they have to be put in? and is there any special procedure after they are installed or will the profilux3 pick it up automatically?
