Profilux plus 2 with led
Im using an profilux plus 2 for 4years now and im really happy about it
But im building an new aquarium right now and i want to think abou the possibilities of led lights
So i found the ledcontrol4 box...
Ive seen the passive and the active
What are the differences of those two
Now i want to know if its possible to use these leds

On the ledcontrol4
and is it possible to shut them down to 0% with the profilux or do you need time switches to do that
And how many bars can you connect.
Is it possible to only use l1 and l2 for only two led bars instead of four
Hope to hear soon

I don't think that they can be connected to a dimmable LED driver
they have their own power supplies with fixed 12V output
maybe a DIY solution is possible using LEDControl4Active - but you have to find out this by your own

Okay clear
Wich brands or manufacturer does definetly work
I saw pacific sun but wich others are tested and for sure

Please have a look here - third-party LED-lamps that are supported by GHL:

Here is a list of who uses GHL for their lamps....not all are plug and play but GHL supported.
- Pacific Sun
- A.I
- Radion
- TMC AQUA RAY
- Sviligio
- ATI
- Geismann
- Ecoxotic
There are lots more also and if you are able to incorporate one of the EVG cards (EVG-AP-2F 0r the new EVG-AP-2F-HC) into it you can control many MANY more lights out there. I know that the new Apollo LED lights are fairly easy to connect to ProfiLux via the EVG card.
If you decide to go EVG here's a nice video overview:
