Yes it does the Simu sticks are for Simulation.

They are excellent for supplement lighting such as adding moonlight - thunderstorms and sunrise sunset.

Better than the old sticks?

The old sticks were great but technology moves forward, the new ones have better size options and more modern LED's. The sticks are not for growth, simple effect and supplement.
