PL-Optolevel PL-0082 in pipe

Hi,

Can i use PL-Optolevel PL-0082 sensor to detect water in PVC pipe?

It's a 40mm PVC pipe from Aquarium to sump, i want to make a hole in the pipe and put in it the head of the sensor. Will that be ok?

That is something I have not seen done?
I suggest you just try it as it will only cost the time to experiment with it.
