Server log files were evaluated after several users reported having troubles sending emails.
Approx. 90% of emails are being sent.
The remaining 10% contains following errors:
Email has no content
SMTP-server is not specified
Incorrect SMTP-server (e.g. smtp..gmail.com)
Wrong password
Password with special characters
Password length more than 16 characters (max. 16 characters)
E-mail address length more than 32 characters (max. 32 characters)
Wrong SMTP-port
If you having troubles sending an email:
Check SMTP-server1
Enter the correct port number1
Re-enter your password
Check email content
Restart the ProfiLux (power off)
Gmail double authentification is not supported.
1You can find the right SMTP server and port number in following table. If your provider is not listed you can get the SMTP server and port number from your provider. Please consider that german providers use encryption for sending emails.
