39w Dimmerable Light Unit FAULTY!

Just bought these's lights and plugged it all in was working fine, but after 5mins they tripped my electrics.:eek:
i checked the unit and found black mark around one of the fixings for one of the tubes.
I thought i would leave the unit for a while (1 week) then try again. Now they dont do anything.

I have tried changing the fuse in the plug and still nothing.:mad:

Can these be repaired or have i just wasted my money.

never heard that a brandnew light unit stops working without any reason after 5 minutes.
The black mark may indicate a short-circuit, but I can't imagine how this will happen.
Can I see a picture?
Of course anything can be repaired, if it is brandnew and it was not a misuse then there is still warranty.
But these are too less information, I don't know if it is a genuine GHL lamp, voltage, ....
