My Reef tank has now been changed from a 12 channel DIY LED system to 4 x Mitras 6100HV lamps with a PLM-PWC card in the P3Ex.
I would like to be able to set light levels when the Profilux 3 Ex is in Maintenance mode.
With the previous configuration (the DIY LED's) I was able to set the 1-10V levels for each channel for the appropriate maintenance mode.
With the PLM-PWC card, I can not find an option to set Illumination levels for each maintenance mode (there looks to be an option for the Mitras Light bar, but not the Mitras lamps).

I have checked through the Mitras Programming Guide version 1.05 and the P3 Programming Guide version 6.07 and it appears that this functionality has not been provided, from the P3 Programming Guide "To achieve a maximum of flexibility, the settings of the maintenance function refer directly to the hardware (switchable sockets and 1-10 V-interfaces) and not to the control and regulating functions (e.g. temperature control or illumination)."

My reading of this, is that the P3 is unable to set a specific lighting level on the Mitras lamps during maintenance modes as it does not utilise the 1-10V interfaces but rather is controlled via the PLM-PWC and Illumination channels.

Is there a process whereby this can be achieved?

Details of the system configuration are as follows:

Profilux 3 Ex with PLM-PWC is the master of the Mitras group
Each lamp is configured as a slave with a unique ID from 2-5

Firmware
1 x Profilux 3 Ex, Version 6.07
2 x Powerbar 6D PAB, Version 1.08
1 x Expansion Box, Version 1.07
1 x ProfiLux Touch, Version 1.04
4 x Mitras 6100HV, Version 1.15

Software
GHL Control Center, Version 1.0.4.7
ProfiLuxControl, Version 6.0.6.0

Matthias,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you have an idea of a rough timeframe for 6.09?
If you would like me to test once you get there, just let me know and Im happy to help.

thanks

Darren

Hi,

Was the ability to control the Mitras during maintenance mode enabled in 6.09?

Thanks
Ben

Matthias, It has now been approx 1/2 of a year and this issue has not been addressed.

I have at this stage been working around the incomplete implementation that GHL have delivered for the Mitras when used with the Profilux and the specific control card to manage the system.
This involves manually setting each of the channels from the Touch one maintenance mode has been activated.
Quite frankly this is an extremely poor solution and I am sick of having to manually set each channel each time I feed the fish at night.

In the timeframe since this was reported there have been a number of firmware releases for both the Mitras and the Profilux, along with several new versions of GHL Control Centre.

Why has the issue not been addressed?
Please provide a timeline that can is clear about when this feature set will be deliverd so that the Lights and the controller can be managed in maintenance mode (and ideally in feed pause mode).

Hi,

Any news?
It's really annoying every time we need to do the cleaning and the night begins to fall ... yet maintenance mode is almost unusable ...
Thank :-)
