Help w Control Centre and USB

Hi,

I upgrade dmy windows 8 to 8.1 and the new control system started giving me problems.
It is now saying cannot connect when I connect. I checked the control panels and tried updating the drivers but windows gives me an error message saying windows encountered an error while installing the driver for both USB and the Mitras driver. I was updating it manually. Pls help and thanks.

You need to restart in advanced mode, allowing installation of unsigned drivers. Press shift while selecting restart, or there are other options available, see http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/open-advanced-startup-options-windows-8.htm.
