So it would appear that my conductivity probe has stopped functioning correctly.
I have tried cleaning it, re-calibrated it multiple times, moved it's location in my sump, etc. It will read either 999.99 or xxx.
Needless to say the functions I have tied to salinity levels are not going to function.

Is there a source for lab grade probes with BNC connectors? I can't seem to find any.

In general there is no lifetime limit for conductiviy probes due there is no aging (in difference to ph and redox).
There are three main problems:

dirt and salt incrustation will give wrong measurements (too low values)
to much mecanical stress for the cable will result in broken cable and give too high values
use uf a carbon probe ( not availble from GHL anymore) in sea water will destroy the probe by corrosion and also give too high values

I suggest it's a broken cable or the use of a carbon probe instead of the needed platinum version

Danke Gunther.
I will get a replacement.
