Presently you can only connect two flow sensors to this Profilux (3.1A - I guess?).
This is limited by the firmware - perhaps this will be changed with a future firmware update,
but presently I can't tell you if and when this will be changed.

Hello,
for this model, up to 4 flow sensors can be operated.
You can use Level 1&2 port, furthermore you would have to use an extension card for the third sensor (e.g. PLM-4Level or PLM-pH/Redox-2Level).
As firmware version in ProfiLux you have to use at least 5.17 and as ProfiLux-Control 5.1.7.1. Then you should see more inputs for the flow sensors.

So because I can only select port 1 or 2?, I understand that would have to get up to 11 or 12 or more ports that are having the level profilux, greetings.

I understand that would have to get up to 11 or 12 or more ports that are having the level profilux

You have to build in a level card (PLM-4Level or PLM-pH/Redox-2Level) due the PL3.1Nex is able to handle only two flow sensors at the internal level ports. The 3th and 4th port is not able to handle flow sensors

I understand that my profilux model can be connected up to 4 flow meter, the list of port level

ProfiLux 3 (eX): Sensors 1-2 (3 in the eX) •
Box Expansion 1: Sensors 4-5 •
Box Expansion 2: Sensors 7-8 •
Expansion Box 3: Sensors 10-11

I understand that in the dropdown control profilux could not choose any of these ports, I can only choose port 1 or port 2.

Flow Sensors only work at ProfiLux Level1 and Level2 or at additional Level cards.
Level 3/4 at the ProfiLux 3.1 eX and the build in level inputs at the ExpansionBox don't support flow sensors due technical reasons.

If you want to use more than two flow sensors, you have to purchase a Level card (PLM-4Level or PLM-pH/Redox-2Level).

The ExpansionBox needs the newest firmware (V1.07).
...and if you change any hardware configuration (eg. by adding a new card in the ExpansionBox) you have to assign the PAB devices again to update the new information in ProfiLux.

Thank you Mathias.
I assume I need to be connected via RS 232?

No, the PC connection doesn't need to be RS232 here.

Built-in cards in an Expansion box are not shown in this overview,
but in the menu "level" you can select the numbers of the further sensors
Example:
ProfiLux 3.1 -> 2 sensors connected to Level 1 & 2 -> no. 1 + 2
Expansion Box -> 2 sensors connected to Level 1& 2 -> no. 3 + 4
Extension Card in Box -> 2 sensors connected -> no. 5 + 6
In the example here, no. 5 + 6 are the sensors connected to the card,
if you can program them successfully in the software, the card is recognized.
