Help with tempature probe

I have a temperature probe that is not registering a temperature on my Profilux Plus II. It is giving me an alarm on the display. I cleaned it with no change. I tried to calibrate it but when I get to that setting, it only gives me the option to save settings.

Does this probe need to be replaced or is there another problem?

Is there a way to take the alarm off the display or not monitor thr probe until I get the problem fixed.

Check that the connection is pushed in fully? Sometimes it almost clicks into place.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the connection. I made sure it was fully inserted and no change.

do you mean you see "***" on the display when you write "probe not registered"?

2 options: a) probe (resp. connector) broken, b) plugged in wrong port

you can disable the temp-sensor to get rid of the alarm

I do see "***" on the display.
I am assuming the probe is broken. I have it plugged in the correct port. It was in the correct port and all of a sudden the "***" started on the display.
