Our Android App for ProfiLux 3 is available in version 1.0 - check our download section!
Matthias I can't locate it in the Download section. Do you have a link available until the Download section is updated?

The APP is free so I guess it will just be downloadable from GHL site. Easy one point access would be my best guess.

I suspect a while as its a whole different beast with a lot more expense. But thats just my thoughts.

Is it capable of remote access? It works on my home network but oesn't seem to connect for me remotely.
Yes if you have your system configured for remote access and your router is forwarding correctly it will connect remotely (you'll need to set up a totally different connection profile) just as well as locally. Remember in order to connect remotely you'll have to disconnect from your LAN for it to resolve correctly.

Thanks, I've been using the 'other' app for remote access which works, I used the same settings in another profile on the GHL app, tried to connect over my mobile Internet on my phone and it tries to connect then says no response. I'll keep fiddling.
Sorted, it appears my poor mobile signal was to blame.
I guess I'll just have to install the Android SDK, which has a built in Phone Emulator to play with the application for now! ;)

The App will not download from a wireless connection to my Android ph? anyone else having this issue? keeps saying unsuccessful.
Yeah (well on the Andriod emulator anyway) It keeps downloading the .php file which is just he actual download button code I guess?
Okay, I got it working once I got my firewall to let the traffic through. Im at work and couldnt wait for quitting time :)
Only thing that isnt looking right for me is the graphing, but it could just be my data. Screen shots incoming.
Maybe a suggestion for Matthias (http://forum.aquariumcomputer.com/member.php?1-Matthias) but it maybe worth noting somewhere the minimum Firmware version level for the Profilux to be running on for the app to work. It could possibly save a lot of "Why is my app not working type questions"

No. Only devices with build-in webserver. These are at the moment Profilux 3 and 3.1N
So in terms of this new Android App, why will it not down load? it just hangs? do you have to be a PC guru to work it.

Yes, it works perfectly on my internet browser of the smartphone

So it´s not an issue from the Profilux or the route. Maybe you have set a wrong internet address or password.
Also maybe the connection is very slow. In this case a second try will help mostly.
I'm connecting of my wifi office!
I try lot of time, but I have always the same error message... :confused:

Firmware 5.15 is necessary for the App
I have update my firmeware this moring...
I have put this file "ProfiLux3_V515_FR_ENG"
That there is a specific ports to open?

I'd tried to download the app to an archos 80g who dos'nt know what to do with a php file…

I did similar to what Nory suggested.. I downloaded it to my laptop and then moved it into my "Drop Box" location. (google Dropbox.com if you don't know what that is). Then I went to the dropbox website, logged into my account, and clicked on the GHL AP file there. My tablet recognized the file and launched the "Ap Installer" from there. The rest was a piece of cake.
I'm stupid!!! I have found what I have the error message "No reponse from the device"
I put "http://" before my IP address on the Host line.

Now I need to download fw 5.15… and I fear that…
5.15 has been very solid and stable... at least for me. I wouldn't worry about upgrading to that version at all. Just make sure you back everything up prior to the upgrade.

Basically nothing is happening.
I select to download the App and it say in progress , then failed.
Also downloaded it on to my PC then emailed it to my smartphone. that did not work either.
Does your phone have SIM card in it? You can insert that into your laptop (card reader via USB), move it onto the card, then insert the card back into the phone. Browse for the file and click on it. I have never done the GHL Ap like this but I did another ap a few months back on my Motorola Droid Razr MAXX.
The install to my phone was a simple "Click on the link" and off it went.
Will look to do this, but why is it such a issue? never have problems downloaded any other App.

what needs to be backed up?
Write your settings out to file, I do this as part of any firmware upgrade. (and not just for the Profilux)
In Profilux Control Its in File, Transmit All Settings From Profilux to File.
I'm happy, good apps, works perfectly
A suggestion: possibility of reset alarm with the app...
Tried downloading this on my daughters android and it's coming up with
Complete action using DB text editor or HTML viewer, I select one and get a load of garble

Its great the App is available , however it can't be down loaded, it appears a few are having this issue.

I use a Samsung with Android and was able to get it on the phone with Kies, downloaded to the computer then transferred it to the phone under personal downloads and ran it from there. Working fine now. The only problem I had connecting was the password. I use long passwords and GHL only seems to allow 8 characters, once I figured that out I was golden. HTH someone. You also need to set the phone to allow it to use apps not from Google play store, I did anyway.

this was on purpose for security reasons - as soon as you leave a manual menu the automatic mode is activated again
