After moving my tank across town, my temperature sensor doesn't seem to be working anymore.
It just shows ** on the profilux and reads >100 on the software program. Before I spend money on a new probe, I'd like to make sure that's the problem. I've tried re-seating it in the outlet several times with the same result.

Any idea?

Actually, looking at it more closely, those were the virtual probes slaved to the main probe. I'm seeing nothing on the temp probe, as if it isn't even detecting it!

Another follow up --> Reinstalled the firmware and the original temp probe is showing up, but it's still not reading. On the device itself, I still have *** for temp.

Be sure the probe is well seated in the back of the P3. Sometimes if there is NOT good connection you might see those values

It is very securely inserted...checked it about 40 times!

Then you also may look into the plug if the pins are all o.k. and in shape - I had a similar plug (PS/2) where the pins are crooked - not visible from outside but also not working

yes, it sound like a broken cable or a bad connection in the plug (maybe pulled on the cable instead on the plug)

I am not having any luck finding any US vendors to sell a replacement probe - any idea?
Do either of the PS/2 ports on the back of the profilux work for temp?

this is strange - every retailer who sells our products is able to order every probe

if you really can't find someone then ask our distributor Aqua Digital for an address
