Conductivity cards

Hi, I am looking into an expension card, but I dont know If I need the PL-0002 or the PL-0004.
I am confused about their reach, the 0004 can measure up to 100mS according your website, but isnt that a bit too low for fresh water? I am happy with a conductivity of around 200.
Then 0002 does no more then 2mS?

002 is for fresh water, 004 is for saltwater. It's also in the naming of the card, the difference between CondF and CondS.

That name difference makes sense, but still I am confused about the reach of that card only 2 mS? I must have my units wrong, but Isn't a value of 150-300 mS a more common value for fresh water?

Distilled Water: 0.5 to 3.0 mS
Melted Snow: 2 to 42 mS
Drinking Water: 30 to 1500 mS
Freshwater Streams: 100 to 2000

You mix µS (Micro-Siemens) and mS (Milli-Siemens) -> 1mS = 1000µS, so a range of 2 mS means 2000µS which is good for fresh water.

One more thing, i see that there are 2 different kind of sensors on the market, graphite and platinum. Do they both work in fresh water? What's the benefit of the expensive platinum one?

It´s working also in sea water - graphite does not [in fact, it also does, but not for a long time]
