Update your Pc's service pack and as for the lamp scrolling, turn the lamp off and wipe the cap sense buttons gently with a dry tissue to remove any manufacturing residue.

I am using windows 7 - 64 bit with i.e 8 I have installed multiple times with no issues.

My guess is there is a conflict in some older versions of windows? Just a guess.

ok, 2 different issues

1.) DLL - maybe the easy one - I will check if there is a compatibility error with English OS and update the DLL in next GCC version

could you be a little more specific about the DLL error? When is happening what? Error message box when starting GCC? Or while installation?
concrete information wouuld help me a lot - I am not able to produce this problem on any of our PCs
is it 32 or 64 Bit OS?

2.) the keys behave as they would be pressed

this is not so easy - you will get direct second level support - PM sent

Can the unit be controlled via profilux control software yet ?
no and it will never be

it is vice versa: ProfiLux can be controlled with GHL Control Center soon

Is there a fix to this yet? I have the same trouble. Window XP, all up to date, 32bit OS. I download the Control Center, but when I open it, it comes up with the same message:

"Error loading language library: GCC_English.dll"

Then the program opens but in German and I can't figure out how to change to English?

Just wondering what is the maximum you can set the temperature to on the units? It get hot over here in Australia so I'm wondering if you can change it from 60 to 65 or higher?

Found out that my Pacific Sun LED Was too close to my GHL Mitra.
The error disappeared when the lamps was 50 cm away.

I still need to program my lights with software.
Some updates on the way. It solves the problem?

I installed Boot Camp with Windows 7 Ultimate on my MacBook Pro.

First Windows update and after that GHL Control Center.
I started GHL Control Center without dll error and the program was in English just like Windows 7 Ultimate.

Updated after Windows 7 with Danish language pack.
The program GHL Control Center works fine without errors and in English.

ok got it to work, first off it didn't though, still came up with the same error message. Reinstalled and seems ok for now. Tried to program the lights....wow, I am not tech savvy at all so please forgive me.

I had a lot of trouble at first until I noticed something missing. I was trying to use the Light Composer to set a K temp of 12000K and then dim all that to approx 25% to allow my corals to adjust. But the software just wouldn't recognise the settings. I have since noticed that "Transmit illumination run to illumination channels...." option is missing on the program. Ref page 10/21 in the manual.

At the moment I am just running all channels at 20% via the illumination runs.

Please Help!

Matthias

it seems not to be a general problem, more than 300 users downloaded the GCC and about 3 reported that language problem (and at least 50% are using the English version)

and we are not able to "produce" this problem on any of our PCs (German and English OS different versions)

-> we contact one of the customers with these problems directly and try to solve it this way

I don't think so. Maybe your screen is too small to show all elements, then please scroll down.

amazing

could you change the language to German for a test? does the button appear then?

maybe it has something to do with XP - has it the newest service pack?

shaggss
18.10.2012, 14:27
yep all good now. one thing though, the wording on the General page for the display brightness is still in German regardless of the language setting. And no matter what times I set for it to be on or off, it is on all the time?

Also, could you please publish some basic "How to's". This thing has so many variables that my head is spinning trying to program it. I would love just to able able to program:

On: 12pm 0%
3pm 60%
7pm 60%
Off: 11pm 0%

All with a temp K of 14000

Thanks again for your quick responses.

That's great Michael, cheers. These lights are mind blowing and just too much for my limited IQ to dissolve! I will keep experimenting though and see what I can come up with.

Yes please post set ups. Wondering how hard this setting up will be!!!!!???
It is very simple. Reading the manuals will help a lot.

Matthias

"14000K and x %"

please consider:
1.) there are many ways to get 14000K with endless combinations of 9 LED channels -> there is not one "14000K"
2.) % from what? from the max. brightness of all LEDs? of the LEDs on in a specific mixture?

So what is to do:

a. Adjust the light color as you like with the 9 sliders. Again: there are endless possibilities to get a certain color temperature.

b. With the brightness slider (the thing with the suns next to it) you can dim the previously adjusted color

c. save this color with the wished intensity

aqua_digital
18.10.2012, 16:30
When you adjust the intensity your chosen colour changes also,(unless this has changed in the latest version) if there was a way to make the software keep your chosen colour rating no matter what the dimming % this would be a beneficial feature.

2.) % from what? from the max. brightness of all LEDs? of the LEDs on in a specific mixture?

Yes from max but from max of your chosen light mixture.

Matthias
18.10.2012, 16:37
When you adjust the intensity your chosen colour changes

No. this is not true. All channels are dimmed proportional, the Kelvins stay constant. This has never been different. Maybe you moved the wrong slider.

ok thanks guys. I will try your suggestions......

It would be handy to have a percentage indicator on the slider, showing what the percent of your light will be as you are sliding it.

Although the software is very good, it really isn't user friendly, also the instructions are not too helpfull the get people started, to be honest, it's all VERY confusing unless you have a degree in lighting, par and kelvin.

Just my initial thoughts, I'm very impressed with the lights, the software, well, that's a different story, even the preset program is unusable,

I have also noticed that I have to transmit/save/update twice before the selected lighting program is loaded.

I didn't have that problem. But still trying to figure out all the VERY CONFUSING programming options.
I LOVE the lights, hardware is great but software AND instructions are very hard to decipher. Feel like I need a degree in physics to understand.

Once you have set you lights composer settings you then press transmit to Mitras. This will then send all the data to the different channels and you will see the channels open up. These can be then closed down.

The other save setting is to save your project to your PC. This is the file which you can then work on at a later date or send to a friend.

it says on page 10/21, to press "transmit illumination run to illumination channels" first, then hit "save changes, to save to yr pc, you hit save under the project tab.

Also on same page, the "test illumination run", this only works on the illumination program loaded into the lamp that is running, it would be cool if it would test the illumination program you are writing

Gazz

aqua_digital
28.10.2012, 21:19
Yep this is correct. It will test the run once you have transmitted it, think of it this way the lamp does not know what settings you have changed until you have transmitted it to the lamp, so once you have done this, go back into the composer and then the illumination run can be tested.

Which Mitras spectrum (channel) is closest to actinic lighting?

What per cent of the total spectrum would you suggest the 425HV by set at?
