I have a friend who wanted to update the ProfiLux touch and he has powerbar-6D-PAB connected and now can not access it.

Can you do a reset the 6D-PAB?

Please note that only the device that has to be updated may be connected at the PAB-port,
all other PAB devices has to be disconnected.
You can make a PAB-system reset and assign the devices once again.

Could you explain once again please which steps your friend has made, this is still not clear to me.
Has he updated the Touch or the Powerbar? And which device can't be addressed now?

Hi Carolin,

The steps are as follows:

1 - He wanted to update the firmware of Touch.
2 - By error, was connected the PowerBar.
3 - The Touch Firmware Updated the PowerBar.

When he realized the error,

1 - He disconnected the powerbar and updated the firmware touch (this gave no problems)
2 - He disconnected everything and left again connected only PowerBar, and try to charge PowerBar firmware.
3 - He could not communicate with Powerbar, then reboot the entire system PAB, to reset and restart still did not find the Powerbar PAB.

so to make it short - the wrong firmware was lodaded to the powerbar?

this can be solved with a forced firmware update:

1. connect only the powerbar in question
2. prepare for the download in ProfiLuxControl
3. remove AC power from powerbar, connect powerbar again to power, the powerbar performs now a hardware reset
4. you have now 3s time for a forced update
5. start download with ProfiLuxControl immediately after powerbar hardware reset
