Hello everyone.

I have a few of these lights http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.au/lights-led/72w-led-clamp-on-lamp-light-for-planted-fresh-water-aquariums/prod_2611.html and they work as both a straight On/Off light or they can be programmed to dim up and down for sunrise and sunset by connecting the controller. Which
is OK but cumbersome. It would be much much better if it could be controlled by the Profilux.

After watching this http://profiluxsupport.com/showthread.php?47-EVG-AP-2F-XX-overview i thought it might be possible to have the Profilux control the lights by running the lights through an EVG-AP-2F card.

Will the EVG-AP-2F card allow me to control these lights with the Profilux without the need for having the LED controller installed?

Does the EVG-AP-2F card actually dim the lights by itself or is it just what controls the dimmer that is connected to dimmable LED lights?

Thank you.

How is this realized? I suggest there is any kind of power supply and the dimming device is build in between the power cord. It would be very helpful to know the data of the power supply, especially the voltage and the max current (ampere).

I´m sorry to say that, but that´s not possible. The EVG-AP-2F card is made to control two electronic dimming devices for T5/T8 tubes and switch them on and off. It has no own power supply and also no own dimming function.

No. But you maybe can install another controller who is controllabe by the profilux (maybe a Meanwell)

Does the EVG-AP-2F card actually dim the lights by itself or is it just what controls the dimmer that is connected to dimmable LED lights? None of both. It is a device with relays to switch on and off the 230VAC power for two devices and passes two 1-10V signals through to the dimming devices. All signals for that are comming from a Profilux´ L-port
