Multiple Problems

I have a customer with multiple problems but can't see the unit first hand. Firstly his profilux Firmware upgrade is coming back with error 8.
His temperature is reading 40 degrees which is wrong, he swears that the temp probe is installed correctly.
Thirdly his timers are probrammed but not responding. Setting socket to "Always On" works so no problem with socket.
I'm dealing with this over the phone. It'd be easier if I could verify that the installation and programming was correct with my own eyes.

Please one problem at once.

Perhaps the following problems are results of the first problem.

The firmware update should be made exactly as described in the manual.
And there shouldn't be an error.
Maybe the other problems are gone if the firmware update is done completely.

Without detailed information on the used ProfiLux model, hardware, firmware version, used firmware file, interface for the update... we can't help any further.
