Normally a version will be declared as final if there are no bug reports for a few weeks and/or a new beta version is in the pipe. There is no exact or common time schedule. Also normally the beta versions are stable and reliable, but there is still a risk to have bug in there that will have negative effects to your tank.
So if you are not willing to have that risk, don´t use the beta versions.

I know a lot of people are mortified by the word BETA while some of us LOVE the idea of being in "BETA" stage. BETA is really just term to let people know it "might" cause issues but most of the time issues are minor and in reality many issues are missed by the majority of users.

chercm as you get more experience with GHL ProfiLux and upgrades you'll have a better understanding of how the software progression works. If you're still worried about "issues" just hold off on upgrading for a few weeks (some people hold off until there is a feature they must have in the new version to upgrade).
