Hi,
I have a Profilux 3ex and an expansion box.
To the main controller I have connected
• Temp. probe,
• conductivity probe platinum ,
• ph probe
• 3 level sensors (all optical)
• 2x tunze pumps
I have connected the expansion box directly using PAB 2 port.
To the expansion box I have connected
• 1 floating level sensor,
• Temp. probe
• conductivity probe platinum ,
After calibration of the conductivity probe connected to the expansion box I got high readings (1.420) which increased to around 1.500 and after 3 minutes profilux displays alarm - Sal2 ***.
I connected this probe to the main controller and probe displayed the correct value. I also connected the conductivity probe from the main controller to the expansion box and I got the same results – high readings and after 2-3 minutes profilux displays alarm Sal2 ***.
I have the latest firmware uploaded on both profilux and expansion box. I did reset of PAB in the main controller and re-assigned all of devices (3x PAB extension leads and 1x Expansion box) with no improvements. Can you please let me know if I need to send the expansion box back to service?

Thank you in advance and regards
Dariusz

HI Dariusz,
Support ticket (http://support.aquariumcomputer.com/english/)
Does sound like a hardware problem.
GHL have a support ticket system at the above link.

(I am just a user, not GHL staff)

Thank you. I've just logged a ticket.

Hello,

have you selected the correct water type (salt or fresh water) for the connection in the Box?
Have you also chosen the right display (conductivity, density, salinity)?

Hi

I set the switch on the back of the expansion box to S and set all settings same as my main conductivity probe.

Hi,

Is there anything else what I can do or I should post the expansion box?

Hello,

can you give us the ADC-values of the probes?

Hello,

The settings are as follows:

Conductivity1:
ADC1: 20
ADC2: 453
Current value 1.0246

Conductivity2:
ADC1:10
ADC2: 512
Current value 1.0535

Regards,
Dariusz.

Hello,

the ADC values look good, so the calibration has been successful.
One more hint: Which temperature (probe) have you assigned during the calibration of conductivity at the Expansion box?
Perhaps you have assigned the wrong temperature (probe)?

Hi I have two temp probes. I used temp probe 2.

So you have two conductivity measurements in two different systems/ tanks?
Then you have to use the temp probe that belongs to the same system like the conductivity probe that you would like to calibrate.
e.g. if you have two systems and use the same temp probe for both systems, one of the conductivity measurements won't work...

Hi

Yes I'm doing exactly as you suggested way sal1 and temp 1 and sal2 and temp2. It seems that the expansion unit is faulty. Can you please let me know where I cans send it for repair?
