Hi all, I am looking at purchasing a ProfiLux 3 to go with an Akva Stabil tank - my understanding is the Akva Stabil can be purchased with Dimmable T5's.

The light – one of the strongest on the market – comes in both T5 and T8 and in normal and dimmable versions. All ballasts are electronic and you can adapt light computers to the dimmable versions.

I don't have any information on the type of ballast that Akva Stabil Effect-Light comes with but you have to specify that you want dimmable when you order.

Has anyone here had experience with a PL 3 and Akva Stabil Effect-Light?

Thanks
Greg

page 9 => top page

it seems they use common 0-10V steering. remark => a P3 only has 2 L ports standard so if you want to add some lights channels, tunze pumps etC...

Thanks - what has me not 100% certain is whether I can connect directly or whether I need a separate interface.

2 channels will do since I only have 2 lights.

Thanks

most of the time ; you need to add this component
EVG-AP-2F if to turn off you ballast if the profilux steers 0%

I have just bought an Akva-Stabil 160cm with dimmable ballasts.
Did any of you find out how to connect these ballasts to the L-ports of the PL3?

thanks,
Ruud

Any feedback on how to use a Profilux 3 to control the dimmable balasts on an Akva Stabil 530?

With no further information about the wiring/connectors of that lamp it´s difficult to help. Is there any kind of manual or wiring diagram available?

I will ask Akva Stabil but there are 2 cables - a standard 220VAC power outlet and another 2 wire cable which presumably is for the 0 - 10V.

If that is so, the LF-ABOX seems the easiest way to connect the Akva Stabil to the Profilux

It's very simple: connect the + of the EVG-AP-2F-HIC to the front end of the Akva-Stabil jack plug and the - of the EVG-AP-2F-HIC to there rear end.

Thanks - what is the difference between the LF-ABOX and the LBF-AP.

I did quite a lot of googling last night and since I have a Digital Power Power bar I was thinking I could use a port ont he Power Bar to turn the lights completely off and then use the LBF-AP to control the dimming?

Thanks
Greg

Thanks - what is the difference between the LF-ABOX and the LBF-AP.

The LF-AP is a small box to forwart the 1-10V dimming signal only, the LF-ABOX is the same, but mit an own switched socket. Function of LF-ABOX is the same as if you use LF-AP in combination with the socket of a power bar.

Thanks - that has helped me greatly.
