release this week (today) is not possible, still some things to test and prepare, but we think we can publish the new firmware in 2-3 days

that's new:
- unicolor background can be selected
- charts are printed faster and completely
- manual operation for illumination and sockets

No own naming of the (maintenance)buttons I'm sad to see. Will this ever be implemented, or is it technically not possible, or extreemly hard to implement?

In the new firmware charts/graphs with some sensible Y-axis values i hope..............

Preconditions for the new ProfiLux Touch firmware 1.02:
- ProfiLuxControl 5.1.1.1
- ProfiLux Firmware 5.11 release from 23. Nov 2011

After updating ProfiLux, ProfiLuxControl and ProfiLuxTouch the pictures stored in ProfiLux Touch need to be updated.
In PLC 5.1.1.1 you will find a button "Update pics" in the Touch-Menu. Click it and wait until the data has been transfered.
Since much data are transmitted over PAB I recommend to connect to ProfiLux over LAN, this connection is faster than USB und RS232.

-> in this case: download the NEW ProfiLuxControl 5.1.1.1 from 21:31 (UTC+1) and install it, this will fix it

My computer shut down after I hit update pics. I only see names, but no icons where the new icons should be. I can no longer hit Update Pics in the PLC

we found out that yesterday's firmware can make trouble when there are several devices on the PAB.

This has been fixed, please update your ProfiLux Touch with the new 1.02 from today.

ok, I didn't understand exactly what you are saying

First let us make sure that the Touch firmware update successful. To see the current firmware you have to assign the PAB-devices again, then the fw-version will be refreshed in the ProfiLux.
Then connect again with PLC and check the fw-version of the Touch.

There is another minor update available for the Touch-Firmware 1.02 since a few minutes:
The picture- and firmware version is printed on the splash screen and the picture version keeps stored during a powercut.
If you don't need this you can stay at the version from yesterday.

I meant to say that I was using the PLC versions 5.1.1.1 with no success, but I will give the 5.1.1.2 to see if that helps. I can see that my touch is updated to 1.02 so that part is at least complete :)

all i needed was basic instructions as i did not know that i had to assign the PAB-devices again

I Installed the update today.

-Update firmware Profilux through usb conection.........no problems
-Update firmware Touch, through usb connection..........no problems
-upload Pictures Touch, did not work through wired and wireless network(picture uploadscreen appears and disappears right away), the picture upload only worked through usb connection, slow but it got the job done.
-Then the PAB devices firmware version was stated wrong in Profiluxcontrol, needed a PAB reset, and again PAB devices assigned (Touch and Powerbar)
-My personal web-pages were gone, so I had to upload(tftp) them again to my Profilux3 webserver.

After these five steps my Profilux,Touch and all attached devices worked fine again, and off course with the new functionality :D


One massif disappointment however::(
The range of the Y-axes in the graphs still suck, my pH lie between 7,9 and 8,2.... the range of the graph is 0-10, so I see a straight line!!!useless.... or is it just me??. The same with the other graphs, the Y-axes are just about useless.... . I really hope that you change this in the next firmware update.

Touch with Firmware 1.02, custom labels are not possible.

But I can say that the Touch with the new 1.02 firmware runs a lot smoother, and the extra functions are nice to.
At this point I think that the Touch if worth its money.

Mattias, when will you be able to get the socket labels on the touch, i really don't understand what the point is having manual switching of sockets on the touch if you can't tell what your switching?!?!?

Seems like ill be waiting a while longer before i get it....

The labels on the Y-axes are wrong in the salt-measurements graph's.
They show both conductivity(mS), but my settings are that one graph should be presented in PSU(salinity) and the other in Density (Kg/Liter).

A little bug to correct in the next firmware update I should say.....(and off course the range of the y-axes, the straight line is not really very informing:confused:).

But on a positive note, the data in the graph's is presented much faster in this new 1.02 firmware:D

- socket labels for manual override
- y-scale can be adjusted

the label is not wrong, the Touch stores (and shows) only the base unit (in this case mS), the other units are calculated from the base unit
maybe we can have an adjustable unit for FW 1.03 or 1.04, but at the moment it is not possible

Busy updating my touch now, rather temperamental.... Also had to reset pab and reassign all PAB's now pictures are updating.

Cannot wait for v3 where you can rename the labels. What is the timeframe for this?

Stupid question the pictures are all there, if I go into sockets and socket one it shows it's off, how do I turn it on, would guess touching it...... Not doing anything, is there programming needed first?

yes, just touch the icon - but the ProfiLux needs firmware 5.11, otherwise it will not react

Manualcontrol rules over everything as long as you are in the "manualcontrolscreen" of the Touch.
When you leave the "manualcontrolscreen" things go back to the state you programmed them to be and react.

you need not to wait for an update - it must work right now

if it is not working then there is something else wrong

Upgraded to the latest pab and GHL firmware. The touch now switches the socket.... But just for a few seconds and then goes back to previous state... Am I doing anything wrong?
