I have had a sparkie in over the week end doing my electrics, now he obviously has to turn the power off, on return of the power im getting a "PABCOM" warning on my Profilux 3ex, so i have to go into settings and reassign the pab bar.

shouldn't the profilux just restart on power up

Any help please guys

You mean that when power goes out you see "PABCOM" message on the display and when power comes back the message is still on?

In mine, when power comes back, the message is gone.

From the manual: "You have to select always all PAB devices also if they have already been assigned once before."

Do you select all PAB devices and reassign or only the Powerbar?

no, because when the power goes off you cant see anything (because the power is off), its when the power comes back on,im getting a PABCOM warning on the display the ghl is supposed to hold settings, but it turns the pab bar off and i have to reassign it in settings

Gazz I think many people are away from their computers right now due to holiday travels and time off from work etc. I've looked and PAB questions are posted in this forum, in the Misc forum and several other places. I don't think the PAB has a specific place (that I can determine anyway) so I'd say this is probably as good a place as any.

Hopefully someone will drop in and be able to help.

No problem. If someone doesn't offer any help soon I'll email someone and ask them to give it a look to see what is happening.

Good luck buddy.

Hi

first of all, the PAB settings are stored in ProfiLux and all PAB devices also in case of a power cut.
So all devices should work correctly after power comes back.

Questions:
- I need the complete system configuration - what PAB devices are connected, in which order
- firmware versions of all devices incl. ProfiLux

Here are screen shots of my set-up, hopefully this is supplying all the information you will need, anything else, please ask.

I have updated the firmware in PAB, i have also tried resetting all Pab settings and redoing, when the PABCOM alarm is going, when i go into assign pab devices, the pabbar is already assigned, i have to clear the x from the box, then put the x back in the box, then everything is ok

Just tried again, and i also have to reassign the Touch

in which order are the devices connected?

I can't see the firmware stands of Touch and PB in the screenshots

im not sure what you mean Matthias, the pab bar was connected first, then the Touch (if thats what you mean)

is there a time during the day that you are on here, then i would be able to get your answers quickly mate

I mean how they are wired

is it

P3 - Powerbar - Touch?

or PB - P3 - Touch

...?

the pb is in the p3 and the touch is in the pb

TBH i have no idea what you are asking/saying mate, i have it all configured and wired properly as far as i know, the touch was a Christmas present, so its only just been added,as i said previously, after a power out, i have to go into system/configure pab/assign devices, once there i have a checkbox with the pab bar serial number, in the checkbox is an X, i take the X out, i put the X in and hit save, the power bar clicks on and everything is good.

I then have to repeat this procedure for the Touch.

At the moment Mathias im trusting an awfull lot of money on this unit to do a job that for some reason its not doing, up to now i have been relatively lucky as i have been homeeach time this has happened, i would hate to think whats going to happen if im not home!!

Once again i ask you, can we set an agreed time to both be on here so we can try to resolve this sooner rather than later.
