Suggesting you have a PLII or a PL3, you have two connectors for sockets, S1-4 and S5-8. This means you can connect two STDL4-4 directly

To connect another one, you have to install an addon card, the PLM-2L4S. Adding the price of that card, the solution with 2x Powerbar 6D is the more cost-effective solution. Additional you get the S5-8 socket free (and also an expansion card slot) due the Powerbar 6D are daisy-cained connected to S1-4

The difference between the Powerbar6D-D and the Powerbar6D-D-PAB is as follows:

The Powerbar-PAB has additional features:
- Current measurement
- Cable length between 2 Powerbars or other PAB devices max. 100m, common Powerbar up to max. 10m
- ProfiLux recognizes if Powerbar-PAB would not communicate with ProfiLux anymore (failure)
- Firmware can be updated
- more simple wiring - all PAB-devices are wired daisy-chained via ProfiLux Aquatic Bus (PAB)

The PAB-Version can only be used for ProfiLux 3 / 3 ex because these types only provide the PAB-connection.
