im just about to change my T5 Tubes
Do i need to burn them in??
I have an ATI dim 10x80w unit.
I dont want to bleech the corals!
Normally all tubes must burn in for approx. 100 hours. It´s highly recommended to do so due you may get problems with flickering and lifetime if you don´t. Maybe you can change it one by one. Alternatively you can buy a very cheap lamp socket for external burn in.

personally I never did it , but I don't dim my T5.
in my 6 years of running T5 tubes I never had any issue , except 1 lamp just died. ( I replace -fased- all tubes after 6 months)

So you burn in permanently .... ;-p
