Vortech Controller will not connect to Pumps HELP!

Firmware VorTechController 1.01
Firmware Controller Interface 0.
Firmware RF Module 0.

I have noticed that there has been a few people with the same problem as me, and after some advice they where told to contact retailer.

There must be something i can do to get this thing working, i have been trying now for a week! help and advice needed.

I would try the following (IN THIS ORDER):

1.) Make sure you have correctly assigned the PAB device
2.) Re-Flash the Firmware for the Vortech Controller
3.) Try to update the Controller interface using the "Update Vortech Pumps" Button (do this after step 2)

If those options fail, check to make sure the RF module is seated correctly inside the Vortech Controller (unlikely problem, but I have seen it once).

Done all the above then when i go to update controller interface i get.... "Error! Couldn't start update"

Interesting,

Have you opened the Vortech controller (only 2 screws) to check if the RF module is seated properly? (make sure its unplugged when doing this)

Its unlikely that it came dislodged, but that might be part of the problem...

Just checked, and everything seems to be fine??

Are you using a GHL PAB cable or a 3rd party cable (like an ethernet cable)?

I'm running out of ideas but trying to help

Also, what version of Firmware and Software are you running on your Profilux/Computer?

I appreciate your help. I bought them together. 3m PAB cable and Controller. Using profilux 3 EX firmware 5.6.

3M or 2M I thought GHL only had 2M and 5M cables?

I am out of ideas at this point, I havent seen this issue with any of the Vortech modules I've sold / upgraded for people. Lets see what GHL has to say on the issue.

Let me walk through what i have done.

1. Connect the controller to the PAB port at the back of the COMP with 3m PAB cable.
2. Went into System>Configure PAB>Assign Devices....... Serial number of controller is displayed..... Selected with an X in the box and press enter, "READY" is then displayed.
3. Loaded Profilux Control 5.0.7.2 ..... Vortech overview is now in the drop down list on the right.
4. Clicked on Vortech over view.... Firmware VortechController 1.01, Firmware Controller Interface 0, Firmware RF-Module 0.
5. Clicked on Update Vortech Pumps..... all of the four bullet selections are available (not greyed out)
6. select controller interface OS (v1.02) and then click start update

"ERROR! Couldn't Start Update" is displayed

I think i will have to cut my losses and take it back to the shop tomorrow.

This is the important hint, the internal RF-module (the component which connects wirelessly with the pums) is not working because both firmware stands are "0", the start at 1.00.

If you are able to open the enclsure then please open it and check if the RF module is plugged in correctly or ask your retailer for a replacement.
