If this is in the wrong sub-forum, feel free to move it.
Michael Hall of Aqua Digital has escalated my issue to the forum for advice.
My year-old P3-Ex stopped communicating with my PAB after attempting a FW upgrade via the usual means of using an RS232 connection & the FR Flash utility. The yellow Com light stopped flashing. The green power light is flashing. I unplugged & plugged in the PAB repeatedly. I tried using another Ethernet. The PAB is plugged into the correct slot which is 15 or 16, either/or).
Michael provided hyperlinks to a compatible pair of FW & software (P3 v504a with software 5.0.4.2), and while the FW update was successful on the P3, it still does not recognize there is a PAB attached.
When I try to assign the PAB device (System - Configure PAB - Assign Devices) the P3 says "no devices found!" No serial# is displayed. Which is not a surprise, since the yellow Com light no longer blinks.
Has the PAB forgotten who or what it is? Is there a tool for this?
I have no spare controller so I'm running the lights manually, using a thermostatically-controller emergency heater (OMG), refilling the evap by hand, and have absolutely no safety net in place at the moment. I've made arrangements to borrow a friend's Neptune tomorrow.
Thanks.
