There seem to a be a few bugs with the web console on 5.05...

In IE8 when I try to access it I get redirected to the home page, in Firefox it just sits there with the refreshing and it never get any of the data.

Can anyone with a P3 try to access "Console" on the P3 web page please, I have confirmed with 2 other P3 and they also have the same problem.

I did have/had the same problem with fw 5.05a on IE8. After a view reloads the page did load correctly. This was when I first accessed the console. Once in a while the problem reaccurres. Mostly one reload is then enough.

I have this issue as well, the web / lan function on the P3 isn't very stable, even LAN connectivity via profilux control isn't vary stable as well, I keep getting comunication errors! Will these lan issues be resolved, do you have any time frame?

I have noticed this issue has become worse since firmware 5.05f and it has not improved with firmware version 5.06

I have also started having problems connecting to the console via the MarineMad.com iPhone app, which I suspect is somehow related to the problem with accessing the console via a web browser

It sometimes will not connect at all even after 10 reloads

Is there an update on this? It would be nice to get existent hardware working and completed before seeing more new hardware added....

The ability to monitor the profilux when travelling is a very important feature - hopefully the the web console issue will be addressed soon!

I still think we can fix this until 5.07

I'm still have this same issue after the upgrade to 5.07, other seem to be able to connect without an issue. Does the 'profilux_lite.html' page require JAVA or some other plug in that may no come with an Apple computer?

I have tried it on an IMAC, MacBook pro and an Ipad without success.

I have gotten it to work using IE on a PC.

reefkeeps

No problem here.... the new firmware 5.0.7.1 works great.
With old 5.0.6 version the web-consolepage did sometimes not load the first time, then you had to refresh the page, and it was very slow in loading the page. The web-interface 5.0.7.1 is a great improvement, the console loads much faster and I don't have to hit the refresh button anymore.

Of course the functionality and layout could still be enormously improved. But at this time everything they build into the web-interface seems to be working correctly.

I have used the new 5.0.7.1 web-interface with WinXP and firefox and IE7, Vista and firefox.

My "dying wish"......make it possible that all the descriptions of the Swithes and illuminations are also visible in the web interface and on every computer on which you run the ProfiluxControl software.

It works for me using IE but not any browser on a Mac.

This is the error trapping.... Is anyone at GHL testing on a Mac?

The web console does work on Windows Safari but when I just looked on my Mac Safari I noted that Safari is making the web requests so fast and in a threaded asynchronous manner that the profilux cannot respond to, either too fast or too many requests at one time.

Can you confirm you have the same problem by opening the activity monitor (window->activity), then open your console page, are you seeing a different result one time and then not another for example one time the images load in the background and another time they dont, and this then corresponds with what you see in the activity log?

This may go some way to working out the problem...

Proof that the interface would work in Mac Safari if it could load..

I basically saved the files to my desktop..

I am sure GHL can pick this up now :)

No problem, did you always have this problem? Or just the latest firmware?

I'm presuming your using 5.07?

Mine came with 5.06 and it had the same problem, I upgrading hoping it would fix the problem. Unfortunantly I'm an all Mac house hold so this is rather important to me. I asked before I purchased it and I was told the web product works on a Mac and.....I'm not really sure it does. As a test I went into the Apple store today, I couldn't get it to work on the stores machines either....

For now, I'm going to continue to be a two controller house.

Thanks again for your help,

I can appreciate that, I just want to know if it's being worked. If it's not, I need to know that as well...
