I have the WLAN card on the pIII, and in the PLC software I can go in WLAN and configure the SSID, static IP, and set as infrastructure. I then save it and see the profilux "reset module" on screen. Cannot access it though even though through the LAN i can access locally and remotely.

When I go back to edit WLAN, i see that my information isn't there.. like it never saved it to begin with.

Any thoughts?

did you follow our WLAN-Tutorial step by step?

Yes. I've been putting the ip for the profilux, maybe instead if I set the wlan ip to the default gateway of the router it'll work? I'll try later today

still no luck. tried programming the WLAN through the profilux and through the plc software with nothing. I notice the lights for WLAN on the profilux stay solid green and solid red

Profilux is not able to read the settings from the PLM-WLAN - that's the reason why there are always the default settings shown in ProfiLuxControl, but the settings are saved as soon as the card makes the reset

what IP has your PC and your router, what IP did you assign to the PLM-WLAN?

you disabled security in your WLAN router before you tried to access your PLM-WLAN with the internet explorer?

SSID is correct?

Still no luck. Not sure what the problem could be. I've been able to connect cameras to my network wirelessly with no problems

you didn't answer one question from us

The Ip of the computer is 192.168.0.171 (local one) while the router has 192.168.0.1 my profilux is 192.168.0.70:81 and through lan can be connected to as well as remotely through m dynamic service. I've tried everything from the manual with no luck. My router has to grant access to whatever is asking for connectivity, and so far nothing new has shown up in the list to give access to. The SSID is correct. There is no encryption on the network at the moment, its simply me clicking yes or no to allowing wireless devices to connect to the network.

All my network cameras are connected correctly and have no issues with connecting locally and remotely, same thing when accessing the Profilux by LAN.

192.168.0.70 is the address of the built-in LAN-interface - and what IP has your PLM-WLAN?

I've tried 192.168.0.70 and have tried 192.168.0.1. my SSID is CTR-4fe

I think you misunderstood me

your PLM-WLAN needs its own IP-address, it must not be 192.168.0.70 since all IPs can only appear one

please assign IP 192.168.0.71 (for example), infrastructure and the correct SSID to the PLM-WLAN using ProfiLuxControl

Tried this and still can't access it. I tried unplugging the PIII as well after saving the information. I tried using internet explorer and google chrome and typed in 192.168.0.71. The lights on WLAN stay solid green and solid red.

AHHHH OK. I think I got it. Looking at the list of approved IP addresses, I saw a weird one of 192.168.0.157 I put it in my browser and was thinking of passwords and usernames for my wireless devices until I just put in admin and left the password blank, this let me into the Latronix web page!!

It's also not using the port number that my LAN uses nor is it using the IP address I assigned it in the WLAN configuration

Am I supposed to still have LAN connected to access PIII without USB cable? Once I remove LAN I cannot access the PIII without USB. I have to connect USB in order to access without LAN.

Can access without LAN now through PLC, but I set the connection on PLC to 192.168.0.157, same IP used to access security settings for Latronix software. In order to access webserver, I have to use 192.168.0.70:81 which is for LAN 192.168.0.71 took me nowhere.

its the same IP fpr the Lantronix webinterface and for the direct access with PLC
